>> Vanessa: Welcome to the Tri State Time Machine I'm, your host, Vanessa Hankins. I love podcasts and podcasting. I'm a mom, a wife, and a complete train wreck. Most days you're here, so that means you like podcasts, too. And probably staring at bad accidents. Anyways, I wanted to explain the hiatus of tri state time machine and get into that a tad. On December 4, I sat down with my friend and co host to record what would become our last episode that we were able to do together. Knowing what I know now, I would have slowed down, laughed more, asked to hear more stories, and made him give me the secrets to his success, because, you know, he had so many of them. God, he could captivate an audience. You know how that goes, though. A day late and a dollar short, I think, is the saying. Wg was like a big brother to me. I looked up to him, and I loved how he always built me up to be the most authentic, uh, unapologetic version of me. Even if I dropped f bombs on his family friendly podcast, he still loved me. Awesome. That's true friendship, guys. I hope everyone has a WG. In December, I also lost my mom. Longtime listeners will know that we had a weird relationship, but anyone that's also lost a parent will know this shit is hard. So hard. So hard. And each day, it feels different. Grief's a bitch, period. I'll never back down on that statement, so jump to the here and now. I'm still a mess. But I've learned some things, like how to become the owner of a podcast, how to start an LLC in the state of West Virginia, and last but not least, how to doubt yourself and decide that you hate hearing your own voice, and especially your own laughter. The amount of people that come up to me and say, I want to hear you laugh. I want to hear you laugh. Like, what the hell is that about? Um, you can't, um. You can laugh on demand. You can, but it's not. It's not authentic. Um, that authentic laugh is there. I know a lot of listeners have come to love it, and I'm excited for it to be back. Part of your. Your weekly listening routine. Uh, thankfully, in podcasting, you guys can't see my face turn red and watch me fidget like a small child when I talk about this, because it's the weirdest thing in the world to talk about yourself in these ways. Uh, as much as I love doing this, it's so odd to reflect. But anyways, if you've made it this far, thank you thank you for riding out my losses with me. Thank you for supporting me for continuing this podcast, and thank you for always tuning in. I hope that I can bring you the content that you love and a little bit of my own spin. I have many ideas and several guests lined up. I hope you guys and gals are ready for the tri state time machine because it's ready for you.
